Mark Fick is the Senior Loan/Program Officer with the Chicago Community Loan Fund (CCLF). Mark’s work at CCLF is focused on lending to affordable housing, cooperatives, social enterprises and community based organizations throughout the Chicago metro area. Additionally, Mark works with the CCLF technical assistance and training program to provide workshops and technical resources with a specific focus on sustainable development and cooperative enterprises.
Originally from a family farm in southwest Minnesota, Mark has worked with a variety of grassroots community development and organizing projects over the past twenty years across Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. He serves as a credit committee member of the Northside Community Federal Credit Union and was a co-founder of the Stone Soup Cooperative, a social justice housing cooperative in Chicago. More recently, Mark became a founding organizer of the Center for Workplace Democracy which supports the development of worker-owned and cooperative businesses in Chicago.
